I started with IHMVCU in 1998. Before, I was at a small credit union in Cedar Falls as I was finishing my degree at Northern Iowa and, before that, I was at a small bank as I worked on my associates degree at Kirkwood Community College. I think what got me hooked on helping people financially was the hard time I had personally starting my credit. I was not able to get a 90-day same as cash loan because I did not have any credit. I was working two jobs and going to school. The bank ended up giving me a credit card, and the rest is history.
Anytime I can help a member better themselves from the start is memorable. I've been here so long, I've seen members from the start of building their credit to now buying or doing home equity loan on their homes.
